Mike Lawrence

Athletic Director, PE teacherMr. Mike Lawrence, the physical education teacher and Athletic Director, graduated from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Wisconsin in 1979 majoring in Bible, P.E., and Secondary Education. He earned 12 athletic letters while in college. He has taken graduate studies in counseling and educational administration from Baptist University of America and Liberty University.

Mr. Lawrence was saved in 1972 during a youth revival in his church and school. Soon thereafter he felt a burden to be involved in Christian Education, where he has now served for over 30 years. He has worked in Christian schools in Miami, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; and Kankakee, Ilinois. Prior to coming to Deer Creek he was the principal of Grace Baptist Academy for seven years. He has also worked and coached at the college level.

Mr. Lawrence was born and raised in California. He met his wife, Andrea, in college, and they were married in 1979. They have two daughters, Sara and Amy.
