At Deer Creek we think it is important to make even the most ordinary events into ways of honoring Christ.  For example, God gives some people particular talents in fine arts.  These talents ought to be developed and put into God’s service not only in Church but in everyday culture as well.  While our chief calling is to love God with all of our heart, art can help to train our sensitivity to people’s personal pains and joys, both of which Scripture mandates. With God as our example of the Creator, we see the importance of creating and expressing feelings. It can help lead us to a more profound praise of God and a deeper understanding of God’s work in our own lives.

Art class brings together a study of the Masters with experimentation in many techniques and media.
