Educational Values

Deer Creek Christian School is committed to the following Principles of Education:

Christ-Centered -  Children are taught that they are special and unique: made by God for a special purpose, and that God desires to have fellowship with them personally (through prayer, learning about His Word, etc.)

Developmentally Appropriate - Children neither think nor learn like adults. They are concrete thinkers who learn by doing. They must be challenged and encouraged to move and think and explore. They need to learn to think logically and creatively to find answers and solve problems.

Well Rounded -  An excellent educational program for children must view them as "whole persons."  Children have emotional, spiritual, social, creative and intellectual needs that must be addressed in an integrated program of teaching and learning.

Parent Involvement - We recognize the responsibility of parents to educate and care for their children. We are here to assist them in that effort. Parental participation in the educational process is not only welcomed, it is viewed as being essential for our school to be of maximum benefit to the children.
