History

In 1984 Deer Creek Christian Preschool was founded by Deer Creek Christian Church, opening its doors to area families looking for a quality, Christian preschool to help educate and nurture their children. Over the next eight years, the preschool continued to grow. A kindergarten was added in 1993. Each year a new grade was added. During the 1993-1994 school year, the church voted overwhelmingly to build new classrooms. This was the precipitating event for the development of the Family Life Center and the building that currently houses the school.

DCCS added new grades yearly until the first eighth grade class graduated in 1998. Led by a separate school board, the school and the church continue to have a supportive relationship.  Today, Deer Creek Christian School provides excellence in education for preschool through eighth grade students. The improvement and advancement of our educational program, extracurricular activities, and opportunities for social development continue to be our goal; and we thank God for the opportunity to serve Him in this ministry.
