Families interested in touring or applying to the school, should phone the school at 672-6200 to set up an appointment. Our application process is outlined below. If you have questions or need clarification, please phone the school office at 672-6200.

    New Applicant Questionnaire and Testing

DCCS requires all entering students to fill out a registration form and the parent/student questionnaire. Kindergarten through 8th grade students also need to be tested.  The fee to apply to the school is $25 and the fee to be tested is $25. Both fees are nonrefundable and will be collected at the time of application.

Incoming kindergarten students are given a hands-on readiness test.  First grade through eighth grade applicants are given a portion of the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT). Test results are used to gauge a student’s current level of performance in core subject areas so the school can determine if we can meet your child’s educational needs. Students that are coming from a school that uses the SAT will not need to be tested as long as copy of the student's most recent test results are provided to the office.  Any other documentation a family can provide, such as a previous report card, is also helpful.

    Registration

After a student has applied and been tested, the school requires that you fill out our registration packet along with payment of our registration fee of $250 for K-8th grade ($200 if paid by 4/1/11).  The preschool/pre-K registration fee is $150 ($100 if paid by 4/1/11).
